MANILA, Philippines - Colegio San Agustin, St. Scholastica’s College A, Hope Christian High School and Assumption Antipolo posted two victories each last Sunday to show the way in their respective groups in the multi-level 14th Women’s Volleyball League at the Saint Pedro Poveda College gym along EDSA.
The CSA girls ripped School of St. Anthony, 25-6, 25-7 and Saint Pedro Poveda, 25-8, 25-10, to tie idle Miriam College for top spot in the elementary (competitive) level at 2-0.
St. Scho’s spikers turned back Angelicum College, 14-25, 25-21, 21-19, and then held off St. Theresa’s College, 25-11, 25-15, to improve their record to 3-0 and share the Group A high school (competitive) lead with San Antonio de Padua College, 25-12, 25-14 winner over St. Theresa’s.
Hope Christian also raced to 3-0 in Group B of the same division by beating San Beda College Alabang, 25-15, 25-13, and CSA, 25-21, 25-14, while Assumption Antipolo assumed the Group C high school (developmental) lead at 3-1 by subduing Saint Paul College Makati, 25-13, 18-25, 25-22, and crushing O. B. Montessori, 25-7, 25-9.
