MANILA, Philippines - The NAMSSA National Motocross Series fires off tomorrow with over 200 riders expected to vie for top honors in various categories at the Speedword Circuit at SM City Bicutan.
Trophies and cash prizes are up for grabs in the kick off leg of the country’s premier motocross event organized by NAMSSA, which has lined up 10 rounds for the national series, including two international legs which are part of the FIM Asian Motocross series.
The series is expected to generate renewed interest from the riders, teams, sponsors and other stakeholders with the recent involvement and pledge of support from its new race chairman and Cagayan Rep. Jack Enrile.
Tomorrow’s races will also serve as tune-up for the local riders competing in the Mayor Hagedorn Cup, the opening round of the FIM Asian Motocross Series set in Puerto Princesa City in Palawan on Feb. 21.
Newly elected FIM Asian Motorcycle Union (UAM) president Macky Carapiet will also be present to oversee the conduct of the competitions.
Competing riders are advised to bring two pieces of 1”x1” ID pictures for the issuance of 2010 competition licenses.
The national motocross series is sponsored by SM City Bicutan.
