MANILA, Philippines - Jun Bustamante and amateur partner Gary Galanza combined for 145 to capture the team championship in the fourth Camp Aguinaldo Golf Club Christmas Pro-Am golf tournament presented by Peter P. Panaligan held at the Aguinaldo Golf Club recently.
Bustamante, president of the Professional Golfers Association of the Philippines (PGAP), scored a 73 while Galanza made a 72 worth 145 under the Blind Callaway format to rule the one-day event
The pairs of pro August Jarlega (74) and Lt. Col. Connors Canlas (72) and pro Marlon Dimapilis (68) and Jhonny Ng (78) finished with 146s for joint second in the tournament backed by the National Golf Association of the Philippines (NGAP) headed by president Leandro Mendoza, and supported by Allied Locke Industrial Sale and RFB Derm Center.
“We will always be ready to give a hand to the CAGC and PGAP,” said Mendoza, also the Transportation and Communication Secretary.
Doming Umadhay and Marlon Dimapilis carded identical 68s but the former nipped the latter in the countback to win the individual crown in the pro division.
Janzen Tan, on the other hand, also edged Joseph Timbol and Canlas in the countback to cop the individual title in the amateur side.
Don Petil emerged the low gross winner in the amateur division with a 78.
