Nepomuceno named one of world's top coaches

MANILA, Philippines - International bowling ambassador and six-time world champion, Paeng Nepomuceno, was again honored by the Bowlers Journal International by including him in their elite list of Top 10 International Coaches for 2009.

This is the second consecutive year that Paeng is being honored by the Bowler’s Journal International which is America’s oldest, most influential and most prestigious bowling publication.

According to the Bowlers Journal International: “this prestigious honor has been bestowed upon coaches whose successes have deeply influenced and changed the coaching world.

They are the innovators and masters and they have earned every right to bowling’s equivalent of academic freedom.” In 2003, the magazine named Paeng as “the Greatest International Bowler of all time.”

Paeng was also recently honored by the World Bowling Writers award to be this year’s recipient of the Mort Luby Jr. Distinguished service award for his lifetime contributions for the sport. The award was given to him in Barnsly, England last May. He is the only bowling athlete in the world to have received awards in all categories. He is the first male athlete to be inducted in the World Bowling Hall of Fame and has been named World Bowler of the Year three times.
