MANILA, Philippines - The Mayor Jejomar “Jojo” Binay second National Quarterly Age Group Table Tennis Championship June 13-14 at the Koliseyum ng Bayan, Pio del Pilar Makati City.
First quarter boy’s 12, 14 and 17-and-under champion Daniel Cua aims to retain his titles against new rivals in the two-day event organized by Binay to promote table tennis’ grassroots development.
“It is the vision of Makati City to develop calibre-type national table tennis players, so Mayor Binay wants to hold this tournament four times a year,” said tournament director Antonio “Gigi” Aguinalde, a former national player.
The age-group event organized by Makati City administrator Marjorie De Veyra and Philippine Table Tennis Development Union president Councilor Jun-jun Binay is expected to draw more than 400 participants not only in Makati but also to other places.
The deadline of submission of all entries is on June 11 at the Makati Youth Center Building JP Rizal Street, Makati City.
