MANILA, Philippines - Kenneth San Andres reaffirmed his status as the country’s top rider by sweeping the premier Pro Open and Pro 125 divisions of the third round of the National Motorcycle Sports and Safety Association (NAMSSA) National Supercross Series at the Moldex Subdivision in San Jose Bulacan, near the Sapang Palay Proper.
San Andres, last year’s Philippine Sportswriters Association (PSA) awardee for motocross, lived up to his billing by crushing the challenge of the veterans almost twice his age in both the Pro Open and Pro 125 to further pull away in the standings of the motocross festival, also known as the Mayor E.V. Roquero Cup.
The Information Technology student of Manila Central University (MCU) relegated JC Rellosa (second), Jovie Saulog (third) and Jolet Jao (fourth) to the backseat of the Pro Open heats, winning the races by almost half a lap in yet another dominant show that was repeated in the Pro 125 against practically the same cast (second Rellosa, third Jao and fourth Saulog).
Backed by Oakley, Bridgestone Tires, HJC Helmets, Fox Racing, Polisport, EZ Trailer, Inside Racing, JBS Motorcycle Parts and Accessories and Bike Plus, San Andres said the tough race course made the victory sweeter.
