MANILA, Philippines - Arellano University said it would comply with all the requirements set by the National Collegiate Athletic Association to be accepted as one of the three guest teams in Season 85.
Val Cayco, Arellano’s marketing chief who also handles the school’s athletic affairs, said the school had appointed Junjie Ablan as head coach of its senior basketball team competing in the basketball tournament set to unfurl June 23. “We’re ready to meet all the requirements, we’re looking forward to playing in the NCAA,” said Cayco.
One of these requirements includes mandatory participation not just in basketball but also in other events like volleyball, centerpiece track and field and medal rich swimming.
