MANILA, Philippines - Manila Jockey Club (MJC) hosts the Philracom-sponsored “Aquamarine-II” Stakes Race today at the San Lazaro Leisure and Business Park in Carmona, Cavite.
The racing extravaganza highlights the country’s top caliber three-year-old local runners competing for the top prize of P300,000.
Leading the quest for top honors is 2008 Horse of the Year co-awardee and today’s top favorite, Hermie Esguerra’s Go Army (JB Hernandez) for the 1,500-meter journey.
Others joining the ramble are BA Rivera’s Batangas Baron (JB Cordero), BQ Mantilla’s Boni’s Gem (CB Tamano), RQ Pineda’s Creation (KB Abobo), HS Esguerra’s Eternal Flame (AB Alcasid, Jr.), RG Pilapil’s Heaven Sent (JA Guce), LM Javier, Jr/RQ Pineda’s Primera Klasse (JB Guce), DR Arevalo’s Virgin Liberty (FM Raquel, Jr.) and PD Mendoza’s Windbeneathmywings (PR Dilema).
The second finisher gets P112,500 while the third and fourth placers take home P62,500 and P25,000, respectively. The breeder of the winning horse gets P15,000.
