MANILA, Philippines - Frankie Miñoza carded a two-under-par 70 yesterday in a follow up to a second-round 69, catching up with fellow Filipino Angelo Que and seven others at 19th place going into the final round of the Indonesian Open at the New Kuta Golf Resort in Bali.
Miñoza fired four birdies against two bogeys in shooting a second straight sub-par score to sustain his rally in the event now paced by Thailand’s Thongchai Jaidee with a three-day aggregate of nine-under 207.
Jaidee submitted a five-under 67 after earlier rounds of 71 and 69.
Alexander Noren was a shot adrift at 66-208 followed by Simon Griffiths, Scott Drummond, Richard Bland, Jeppe Huldahl, Ross McGowan and Simon Dyson at 209.
Miñoza and Que were with Nirat Chapchai, Tony Carolan, James Kamte, Ted Oh, Chinnarat Phadungsil and Gavin Flint at 19th place, six strokes behind the leader.
Another Filipino, Juvic Pagunsan, shot a three-under 69 to lead another big group at 28th place with a two-under total.
