The 2009 first conference of the Metro Basketball Tournaments kicked off last week with 32 teams competing in the Below 6-ft Basketball League and another 30 teams set to see action in the Corporate League beginning Friday.
Foscon is the defending champion in Division F of the B6BL played at the Metro gym in Mandaluyong.
Other entries in Division F are Sanyo Seiki, Transcom Asia, Encore-Convergy’s, Tropics, Cibre Maverics and 318 Automart. Division G is composed of Snaku, Modivex, Rentas, Sipag, Skyprinters, Amethyst, Smart Pals and Smart Sales, while Taraflex, Bayo-Jengga, Kings Safety Shoes, Park-9, Chobombo Kings, OPS, Unioil and San Miguel compose Division H.
The top bracket Division D is due to start on Feb.15 at the Ynares Sports Arena with defending champion Nougat Candy leading the cast.
