Juvic Pagunsan closed out with three straight birdies to shoot a four-under 68 and post a joint sixth place finish in the Johnnie Walker Cambodia Open won by Thai Thongchai Jaidee in runaway fashion in Siem Reap, Cambodia yesterday.
Pagunsan, trying to come up with a big finish in a season marred by mediocre performances on the Asian Tour, appeared headed for another so-so windup until he sizzled with that fiery finish for a 35-33 card at the Phokeethra Country Club.
Counting his earlier 79, 69 and 68, Pagunsan wound up with a 275 for a share of sixth with Korean JB Park, who had a 69.
Mars Pucay and Artemio Murakami shot identical 71s and finished tied for 18th with two others at 279 while Tony Lascuña (73-286) and Jerome Delariarte (76-290) wound up in joint 43rd and 54th, respectively.
