Andy Vasquez defeated Edgar Lee to capture the Group I (handicap 0-17) crown then went on to bag to Golfer of the Year plum in the Architects Golf Club monthly golf tournament at the Sun Valley Golf Club in Antipolo recently.
Dante Yatco bested Henry Wee-Ebol to cop the Group II (18-22) title while Sonny Esguerra beat Sonia Ongkiko to top Group III (23-28) in the event, sponsored by Boysen Paints.
Buddy Segui won the Group IV (29-31) plum over Boni Embuscado while Louie Montes downed Tito Antonio to win the Group V title in the tournament which drew 128 member-players.
The monthly winners were Group I - Mike Peña, Tony Sarmiento of Julant and Rommel Martinez of Boysen Paints; Group II - Jojo Balderama, Joe Felix and Cesar Lim; Group III - James Rosca of Teresa Marble, Jeffry Guevarra of Maximus and Richard Tan; Group IV - Rafael Villanueva, Ed Casares and P. Milano; and Group V - Nilo Villanueva, Odet Bongato and Babes Gutierrez.
Also feted during awards rites were hole-in-one winners Larry Chua of Sycwin Electric Wires and Cables who made the feat at Tagaytay Midlands last February and Pablo Mercado IV at Royal Northwoods last October.
