Juan Miguel “Mig” Elorde, grandson of the great Gabriel “Flash” Elorde will see action tonight at the grandballroom of the Elorde Sports Center in Sucat Road, Parañaque as part of Boxing Kontra Droga presented by Johnny Elorde and Lonsdale.
Mig, second son of Johnny and Liza Elorde, also turned pro after his elder brother Bai Elorde. Mig had his pro debut at the Waterfront Hotel in Cebu where he won unanimously in his first outing over Racem Laud.
In tonight’s fight, Mig, who is also a Culinary Arts graduate at the De La Salle College of St. Benilde, will be pitted in a 4-rounder against Cris Goles.
In the top main event, RP No. 3 bantamweight contender Monico Laurente will battle Jun Eraham at 120 lbs. Laurente in his last fight a month ago lost by a split decision to former WBC champion Malcolm Tuñacao for the Philippine title. He hopes to bounce back this time to put his ratings in contention again and have a rematch with Tuñacao.
Supporting these fights are four 8-rounders and two 4-rounders.
Admission ticket is pegged at P150.
