The Philippines’ Jay Bayron slowed down with a one-over 73, falling four shots off the pace after the penultimate round of the $50,000 International Championship on the Mercedes-Benz Tour at the Imperial Golf Club in Indonesia.
Another Filipino Marvin Dumandan shot a 70, rallying to fourth place, a shot behind joint second placers Bayron and Mauludin Andik.
Indonesian sensation Rory Hie grabbed the solo lead after a two-under 70 for a three-day aggregate of 208.
Hie played for the University of Southern California and at one point was ranked sixth best amateur in the world. The talented golfer attended college for two years then opted to leave prematurely as he felt he was ready for the professional game.
He bogeyed the first two holes on three putts but birdied two of the next three holes.
