Pacquiao was admitted at the Cardinal Santos Memorial Hospital in San Juan the other day after complaining of stomach pains. It was a case of acidity that led to an executive check-up.
Pacquiao left the hospital yesterday afternoon armed with a clean bill of health.
The 28-year-old boxer had all his major organs checked, according to his business agent Eric Pineda as he prepares to begin training for his April 28 bout against either Marco Antonio Barrera or someone else.
"He was brought to the hospital because of the stomach pains. And since he was already there, he opted to push through with an executive check-up. Boxers do this even before training," said Pineda.
Pacquiao is staying at a suite at Diamond Hotel where Erik Morales is also billeted since the Mexican boxing hero flew in late Saturday night with his lovely wife Andrea.
Pacquiao and Morales have met a couple of times over the last two days, and were scheduled to have dinner last night, a meeting that was originally scheduled Monday.
The two fighters, who formed one of the most memorable trilogies in boxing history, are being groomed to appear on the latest San Miguel Beer commercial.
The ad shoot, which was shelved last week, might just take place this week. Also part of the cast is Pacquiaos American trainer Freddie Roach who is planing in today from Los Angeles. Abac Corrdero
