NCR Tot baseball today at Marikina

The Philippine Tot Baseball Foundation holds the National Capital Region Schools Tot Baseball and Softball Leagues’ 11th Year Recognition Day today at the Sto. Niño Baseball Grounds in Marikina City.

PTBF president Rodolfo "Boy" Tingzon Jr. will give recognition to individuals and corporate sponsors of the league in an annual rites set at 10 a.m. in this city known for producing world-class shoes.

Also attending is Mayor Marides Fernando, who has hosted several local and international tournaments organized by the PTBF last year.

About 60 teams coming from 20 top schools and clubs, all raring to play after a long holiday break, in and around Metro Manila are expected to attend the traditional affair.

Today though, these student athletes along with their school officials, coaches, relatives and friends will take time out and recognize the efforts of their schools, Dunkin’ Donuts, Yellow Cab, Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) and Marikina City — all staunch supporters of the league.

"This day will show how thankful and appreciative we are to all those who’ve supported us this past year," said Tingzon.
