Four-time Driver of the Year Jody Coseteng and last years National Junior Touring champion Oscar Aguilar, who both were not able to strut their stuff in the first leg, will lead the assault of a complete Havoline team.
Coseteng elected to skip the Batangas opener due to the repairs being made at that time in his racing car.
But the Super Class A champion of the Subic SVI Challenge will be a force to reckon with once he competes in the second leg, together with Havoline skipper Aguilar, who like him, is also raring to see action in the premier N1 event where the two are entered.
"A drivers worst nightmare is not losing, but not being able to participate. You are helpless on the sidelines and you definitely cannot do anything to alter the situation youre in. Wala kang kalaban-laban," said Aguilar. "But when youre in the race, at least you have the opportunity to dictate where you want to be."
Other members of the Havoline team, which is powered by Vortex Gold and supported by Rota Wheels, Brembo Brakes, Hyper Parts, Gatorz Eyewear, Gaspeed, Kolor Craft, Auto Trend, DZ Racing race and performance and Atoy Body Kits are Nilo Pazcoguin, Dr. Peewee Mendiola and Oscars son Christian Aguilar. The Havoline team also supports boy wonder Tyson Sy.
"This is it. What we have now is a complete Havoline Racing Team aching to show its true strength," said Havoline product manager Paul Familara. "With Havolines fully synthetic oil, and the teams innate ability and determined bid, I am confident that we can never go wrong."
