Milo BEST WBL at St. Benedict Alabang Sunday

Seven games will usher in the multi-level Milo BEST Women’s Basketball League (WBL) Sunday at the St. Benedict College courts in Alabang Hills.

Pairings will be drawn after the opening ceremony at 7:30 a.m.

Thirty-six teams will vie for honors.

The defending champions and last year’s most valuable players are Community of Learners/Ria Landingin, elementary; DLSZ/Katrina Quimpo, high school (competitive); Poveda/Cathy Romualdo, high school (developmental) and UST/Risha Ann Vargas, college.

The teams:

Elementary–Community of Learners, De La Salle Zobel, JASMS, Miriam College, Poveda Learning Centre and St. Scholastica’s College.

High school (competitive)–Assumption College, Colegio de Sta. Rosa, DLSZ, JASMS, Miriam College, Poveda, St. Anthony School, St. Benedict College, St. Mary’s of Caloocan and St. Scholastica’s College.

High school (developmental)–Community of Learners, De La Salle-Lipa, Miriam College, Montessori Integrated School, New Era University, O.B. Montessori Center, Philippine Science High School, Holy Spirit, St. Benedict College, St. Theresa’s College and UP Integrated School.

College—Assumption College, Ateneo de Manila University, Miriam College, Philippine Normal University, St. Benedict, St. Scholastica’s College, UE, University of Asia and the Pacific and UST.

Veteran international arbiter Rolly Omampo is the tournament commissioner with Monica Jorge as his assistant.
