West Bound, Diktador banner ‘Road to TC’ race

It will be a toss-up among West Bound, Diktador and Success Story when the second leg of the Road to Triple Crown is held at the Santa Ana Park today.

But five other chargers, including coupled entries Reigns Supreme and High Octaber are out to spoil their bid, making the centerpiece event of today’s program truly a race to watch.

A guaranteed prize of P450,000 is at stake in the Philracom-sponsored event, to be run over 1,600-meter distance, and which serves as a tuneup for this year’s Triple Crown hopefuls.

That included Security Master, winner of the first leg of the Road to Triple Crown last February but whose handlers have opted to rest the charger this time. Completing the talent-laden roster are Power of the Wind, Red Star Rising, Moneyline and Sister Act.

The second placer will receive P168,750 while the third and fourth place finishers will get P93,750 and P37,500. Ramon Romualdez
