With maximum wind speeds of 18 knots, Radis managed to clock 50.5 kph while Graf and Yun the same speed of 38.8 kph in the first round of this competition, serving as the fourth leg of the Adecco Asian Windsurfing Tour presented by Fosters.
The riders welcomed the rest yesterday.
"The past few weeks have been so intense its actually really nice to have a day off. We completed 15 races in Bintan, Indonesia last week and a full round of slalom plus the speed trials here, so its great to give the muscles a rest," said Radis.
"If you want to chill out, this is a great place to do it," he added.
In addition to the downwind slalom racing, speed trials were also held in the neighboring bay. Only one windsurfer entered the course at a time. Speed trial marshals gauged the speed of the windsurfer using a radar gun often used by traffic police.
At sunset, the sailors prepared for another day of action at the Windpia Windsurfing Club on Bulabog Beach.
