Set to be contested in todays 14-race card are the championship crowns for two-year-old filly and 3-year-old colt divisions, as well as the title of champion sprinter.
MARHO chief Aristeo "Putch" Puyat expressed optimism that day one of the two-day championship parade will get the full-backing of all the racing sectors, particularly the betting public which is expected to troop to the Santa Ana Park and in all PRCI Off Track Betting (OTB) stations for this annual racing carnival.
"Racing fans will be treated to topnotch horse racing action involving some of the countrys most promising campaigners and fleetest runners in one remarkable card of championship and special races," according to Puyat.
Leading the charge of title contenders are some of the current headliners in the two-year-old filly division including consistent performer Tatler Cover and promising gallopers Noor, Napa Valley, Lady Magallanes and Tora-Tora who are set to battle it out over 1,500-meter in the P1-million Juvenile Fillies championship.
