Torre chess school up

The Active Chess Center of Asia Inc. (ACCA), to pursue its goal to propagate chess in schools, and Eugene Torre, Asia’s first grandmaster, have agreed to form the Grandmaster Eugenio Torre Chess Institute (GETCI).

The GETCI and ACCA will set a precedent for the introduction of chess programs throughout the country through which the benefits of chess can be brought to millions of youngsters. The GETCI and ACCA have lined up many activities for the school year.

The GETCI program, organized in partnership with the ACCA and sponsored by Belgosa Media Systems, will set up chess clubs , clinics, workshops and tournaments in schools.
