Wack Wack president Ben Abalos said that the Manila Amateur is a welcome follow up to the recent Philippine Open the club recently hosted.
"Wack Wack will always be supportive of events that can help mold local players into their best potential and possibly make the country proud of them someday," said Abalos who has regained for the Mandaluyong layout its reputation as a perfect tournament venue.
Marlon Dizon, a member of Wack Wack who had won the national stroke play title, is expected to lead the championship class together with back-to-back Philippine Open low amateur winner Angelo Que and Southeast Asian Games gold medalist Juvic Pagunsan.
The awards dinner and raffle is looking very attractive as more companies are backing the event. Northwest Airlines has committed two round-trip business class tickets to the US.
