These are just two tricky questions needing logical answers for organizers who would partly use them as gauge in determining who qualified for the eliminations alone of the inaugural Clorets Urban Hunt 2002 which gets going late this month.
But a trickier question could be one that asks an applicant why he should be picked for the Clorets Urban Hunt 2002, a first of its kind in the Philippine setting, that offers P100,000 cash to the winning team.
The countdown is on for the registration deadline on April 12 and organizers are urging interested parties to apply at www.pfizer.com.ph; email cloretsurbanhunt@yahoo.com or at AB Communications on the 20th floor of the Pacific Star Building, Makati Avenue corner Sen. Gil Puyat Avenue, Makati City . Inquiries are also entertained at 303-0780 or 303-0683.
Its been two months since the Cloret Urban Hunt was launched through tours of high-end bars in Makati, Libis, Malate, Alabang, Quezon City and Ortigas and top universities and colleges, causing the roster of applicants to balloon.
The race remains wide open though for any of the three elimination races on April 27 and May 4 and 11. There would be just 30 teams of two in each of the elimination dates, with the top 10 from each of the elimination races advancing to the May 25 finals.
To make the competition tighter, organizers have set prizes between the first and second placers miles apart. Second prize in the finals is worth P25,000 and third, P15,000.
With a "Can You Survive the Heat of the Hunt" dare coupled with a battle cry of "seek, strive and succeed," the Clorets Urban Hunt 2002 is starting to lure a cross section of the society, from students to professionals, and from military personnel to athletes. Even the clergy has shown interest in the event.
Objective of the Clorets Urban Hunt is for the participants to go after Clorets packs planted in strategic areas in Metro Manila and do various tasks assigned them.
The participants will be provided with the barest of all essentials, specifically a P250 stipend which they would use for fare and other incidentals for the whole elimination day. Knowledge in orienteering is key to winning the Clorets Urban Hunt 2002.
