Rosales, the reigning Philippine Open champion, played a steady round at the Classic Golf Resort layout where he gunned down birdies on Nos. 3 and 8th but he said later he couldve moved within a stroke or two off the leader had he made a couple of short putts.
He had a 208 aggregate for a share of third place with erstwhile leader Indian Jyoti Randhawa (72), Chris Williams of England (72) and Nico Van Rensburg of South Africa (69).
"I couldve added a couple of birdies more, but I missed some short putts," said the 24-year-old Rosales, whose best finish on the Davidoff Tour is a joint third place finish in the Singapore Open last year.
Jaidee, whom Rosales dominated during their amateur days in the Southeast Asian Games and Putra Cup, fired a 69 as he wrested a one-stroke lead over Scot Ross Bain at 205. Bain shot a 68 for a 206.
Cassius Casas floundered with a 74 as he slid to 40th place with 215, while a stroke farther back at 216 was Rodrigo Cuello, who also had a two-over par card.
