Former NBA referee and supervisor of officials Darrel Garretson is slated to plane in today via Northwest Airlines to conduct a series of modules for basketball referees in the country as part of the Asian Basketball Academy-Philippines' Summer 2000 Program.
While Module II for pro-level referees has already been virtually filled up, registration is still going on for Module I which is intended for referees in the collegiate, high school, elementary and barangay levels, and those who intend to start on an officiating career. Special rates are offered for aspiring referees with no experience yet at any level. Module I of the Referees' Academy will start this Friday, at the RFM Gym in Mandaluyong City and will last up to Sunday.
