BORACAY -- Two-time President's Cup champion Tony Robinson dedicated the last of his two victories in the 2000 Philippine Hobie Challenge inshore races to a seven-year-old girl suffering from Leukemia.
Robinson, who lost the six-leg offshore race crown to fellow Brit Michael Scantlebury, finished the three-race series by placing second, first and first in the final event of the week-long adventure sailing series sanctioned by the Philippine Sailing Association and sponsored by the Pearl of the Pacific Hotel.
He earned 3.5 points in the top spot followed by Scantlebury (6.75) and Mark Haswell (7.0).
It was one-on-one duel between Robinson and Scantlebury throughout the three races during the Olympic class trapezoid course.
