Karatekas formalize complaint vs PKF

Karatekas who filed a mass resignation letter last month finally formaized their complaints against the Philippine Karatedo Association headed by Pochollo Veguillas.

Fifteen signatories, including designated spokesperson and national team coach David Lay, submitted to the POC fact-finding committee late the other day, their eight-point complaint against Veguillas, head of the PKF since it was founded in 1988, at the Orchids Hotel in Manila.

Among the charges lodged against the PKF was the alleged slashing by Veguillas of 10 percent from the athletes' monetary incentives from the Philippine Sports Commission, allegedly to raise funds for the association's Christmas parties, which, according to the complainants, never took place.

They also alleged that they were also asked to sign blank vouchers and that they were made to train and coach Veguillas' Association for the Advancement of Karatedo (AAK) students without compensation. -
