BACOLOD CITY, Philippines — The Negros Occidental provincial government is joining the 37th International Food and Beverage Exhibition in Tokyo, Japan from March 6 to 9.
Negros Occidental is the only provincial government among the 25 participants that will represent the Philippines in this event, also known as Foodex Japan 2012, which is the only tradeshow in the Asia-Pacific region, attracting at least 85,000 buyers from over 60 countries.
Representing the province are Capitol executives Roberto Gasparilo, Anna Marie Lucasan, and Marilyn Manuel.
Governor Alfredo Marañon Jr., said the food exhibition will be a big opportunity to showcase the organic produce of the province, and expand its market to the international market. (FREEMAN)
