Silay City policeman charged with acts of lasciviousness

BACOLOD CITY, Philippines -  – A police intelligence operative assigned in Silay City, Negros Occidental is facing charges for acts of lasciviousness before the City Prosecutor’s Office.

Superintendent Rosauro Francisco, chief of the Silay City Police, said the policeman, whose name the police withheld, is facing two charges filed by two female inmates detained at the Silay City Police Station jail.

Media reports also said that another inmate had claimed that the same police officer hit him and other inmates with a baseball bat, for unknown reasons, last week.

The accused police officer was immediately relieved from the Silay City Police Station, on orders of Sr. Supt. Allan Guisihan, provincial police director of Negros Occidental, Francisco said.

He is now assigned at the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office headquarters in Bacolod City, pending the holding of pre-charge investigations, Francisco added. – (FREEMAN)
