Kathryn, may mensahe na agad sa magiging anak!

Boy Abunda at Kathryn Bernardo

“I’ve learned so much from my past relationship. I’m talking about growth, I’m talking about being unselfish, about gratitude, dreams and all. During that 11 years, I’m learning. And when the breakup happened, ang dami ko ring natutunan sa sarili ko and sa lahat ng nangyayari. Feeling ko, I still don’t know the real definition of love. But I think love can be found anywhere. It can be from your family, your friends, from your boyfriend or from your girlfriend. Now I feel that I’m so surrounded by so much love,” makahulugang pahayag ni Kathryn.

I think I’m pretty strong. I didn’t expect that I’ll handle it that well. It’s just that, that moment in my life tested my faith so much.

“To my future daughter or son, I would say, ‘Don’t use your pain as a reason to hurt others.’ I think that’s what I learned personally. Just because you’re in pain, you’re hurting, it doesn’t mean that you have to do the same. Like kindness, you can never go wrong with kindness. If something bad happens, I’ll let you experience it. Because I can’t protect you from it. Siguro ang mako-control ko lang is how you will handle yourself when you’re in pain. And I want you to know, na basta alam mo ‘yung values mo, alam mo na wala kang natapakan na ibang tao, then you shouldn’t be afraid of anything, kasi lahat kakayanin mo.

“When they told me about it early this year, I was a bit hesitant. Alam natin kung gaano kahirap gumawa ng sequel and for me I would like to leave it as it is. Like Joy and Ethan, nag-end na ‘yung love story nila, iwan na natin ‘yon. Then fast forward to 2024, when they told me parang ‘yung idea pa lang, sinabi ko, ‘You sure? Kailangan pa nating ituloy ‘yung kwento nila?’ Nakakatakot siya sundan. Then no’ng in-explain nila sa akin ‘yung story, do’n ko na-realize na there’s so many questions na gusto kong bigyan ng sagot. What happened to Joy and Ethan? Bakit sila umabot sa ganito? Will they give second chances? What happened to Ethan in Hong Kong? What happened to Joy in Canada? Nagawa ba nila ‘yung dreams nila? Ang daming kailangang sagutin. And that made me say, yes. Everything fell into place and it’s the perfect time to do it,” pagdedetalye ni Kathryn. — Reports from JCC
