MANILA, Philippines — Inanunsyo kahapon ni Cainta Mayor Elenita Nieto na isinailalim ang kanilang bayan sa state of calamity.
“The southwest monsoon and Typhoon Carina’s continuous onslaught of rain since yesterday has brought severe flooding, causing huge damage to property and disruption of livelihood of our residents in all seven barangays.We will continue to provide relief and to conduct rescue operations, with the goal of restoring our town,” wika ni Nieto.
Nagdeklara na rin ng state of calamity ang lokal na pamahalaan ng Cavite dahil sa epekto ng Bagyong Carina.
Ang deklarasyon ay nakapaloob sa Sangguniang Panlalawigan Resolution No. 3210-2024.
Ang deklarasyon ng state of calamity ay nagbibigay-daan sa lokal na pamahalaan na mabilis na ma-access ang mga emergency fund at magpatupad ng mga relief operations upang matulungan ang mga lumikas na residente.
