MANILA, Philippines — Isang multiple infras­tructures ang ipapatayo ng Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) para sa mga national athletes sa dalawa nilang pasilidad sa Metro Manila.

Ito ay matapos porma­lisahin ng PSC ang kani­lang partnership sa Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) para sa nasabing proyekto sa PhilSports Complex sa Pasig City at sa Rizal Memorial Sports Complex (RMSC) sa Malate, Manila.

“This is one of the significant steps to ensure that they remain safe and at peace, day in or day out of their training sessions on a long-term basis,” ani PSC Chairman Richard Bachmann.

Nakasama ni Bachmann sa seremonya sina PSC Executive Director Paulo Francisco Tatad at Accounting Division Chief Atty. Erik Jean Mayores sa RMSC Conference Room.

Ang DPWH-NCR at Metro Manila First District ay kinatawan nina Regional Director Engr. Loreta M. Malaluan at District Engineer Aristotle B. Ramos para sa Philsports Complex jurisdiction.

Pagagandahin ng PSC sa tulong ng DPWH ang dormitory facilities sa PhilSports Complex kung saan ilang national athletes ang nagte-training.

Nauna nang inayos ang seven-storey athletes’ dormitory sa RMSC noong Setyembre.

Kasalukuyang pinapa­ayos ng komisyon ang Ba­se­ball Stadium sa RMSC para makapasa sa international standards.

Magkakaroon din ito ng covered roofing at isang improved grandstand o spectators’ area bukod sa high-resolution LED scoreboard at protective netting at stainless-steel railings na may salamin.

Magpapatayo din ang PSC ng isang 12-storey multi-purpose facility kadugtong sa Ninoy Aquino Stadium tampok ang isang modernized bowling faci­lity, ang pagpapaganda sa Philippine Sports Museum at ang rehabilitasyon ng sports agency’s Administrative Building.
