PARIS - Pinapurihan ni Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) chairman Richard Bachmann ang lahat ng mga tao at grupong tumulong kay gymnast Carlos Yulo sa Paris Olympics.
Sinementuhan ni Yulo ang kanyang pagiging greatest Filipino Olympian matapos angkinin ang ikalawa niyang gold medal isang araw makaraangmakuha ang unang gold dito sa Bercy Arena.
Ang tagumpay ni Yulo ay hindi magiging posible kung hindi sa tulong nina coach Aldrin Castaneda, isang therapist, at gymnastics president Cynthia Carreon.
“It was a destiny shaped by everyone’s efforts,” sabi ni Bachmann.
“Thanks to everyone’s support, the nation celebrates the milestones we’ve achieved. In just two days, Carlos Yulo brought home two gold medals, but we’re not stopping there,” dagdag ng PSC chief.
Nakatiyak naman ng bronze medal sina boxers Nesthy Petecio at Aira Villegas matapos umabante sa semifinals ng kanilang mga weight divisions at kasalukuyang lumalaban si EJ Obiena sa pole vault finals habang isinusulat ito.
“We commend everyone’s involvement in bringing the country back to glory. I am confident that all Filipinos are celebrating this special achievement like never before,” dagdag ni Bachmann.
