Rivilla, Ching nanalasa sa PSL-Sirib swim meet

MANILA, Philippines — Dalawang bagitong tankers ang humakot ng limang gintong medalya upang pamunuan ang mga gold medalists sa 135th Phi­lippine Swimming League (PSL) National Series - 2nd Sirib Swimming Cham­pionship na ginaganap sa Marcos Stadium Swimming Pool sa Laoag, Ilocos Norte.

Umani ng ginto si Coby Marcus Rivilla sa 200m Individual Medley, 100m butterly, 100m backstroke, 100m breaststroke at 100m freestyle habang namayagpag din si Christoph Ching sa  200m Individual Medley, 100m butterly, 100m backstroke, 100m breaststroke at 100m freestyle.

Nagtala rin ang 2018 Palarong Pambansa  participant na si Rivilla ng bagong rekord sa 200 IM matapos magrehistro ng dalawang minuto at 50.63 segundo para wasakin ang lumang marka na 2:52.46.

Wagi naman ng gintong medalya sa kani-kanilang paboritong events sina Diliman Preparatory School standouts Lee Grant Cabral, Albert Sermonia II, Paul Christian King Cusing, Paula Carmela Cusing at Jewel Sermonia.

Nagparamdam din ng lakas si Susan Papa Swim Academy tanker Behrouz Mohammad Mojdeh.

Ang iba pang gold me­dalists ay sina Sitti Gomez, Triza Tabamo, Marielle Montenegro, Jireh Lyne Gervacio, Sophia  Estacio, Isis Arnaldo, Shayne Acar, Pia Loy, Alexander Austria, Kiel Galzote, Christian Joshua Galzote, Carl Adones, Asha Segotier, Vella Filart, Myka Villareal, Raehanna Gargullo, Mariz Capalar, Collin Tyler Saba­riaga, Arvin Felipe, Jian Jose, Iver Aurello, Matthew Garcia, Jermaine Eulin, Miggy Valles at Ian Abalos.

“We have so much ta­lent in this country. PSL caters the young swimming from two years old up to 18 and over. Swimmers must undergo this process of development as there is no shortcuts in sports, it is measured by time and PSL cannot go wrong in giving rise to athletes. At the end, it must be parallel with our goal of having sound mind and body,” ani PSL president Susan Papa.
