MANILA, Philippines – Nais ng Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) na mapirmahan na ang Memorandum of Agreement sa pagitan ng ahensiya at ng Armed Forces of the Philippines sa lalong madaling panahon.
Ito ay upang makapagsimula na ang mga enlisted personnel na atleta at coaches sa kani-kanilang pagsasanay para sa ilang malalaking international tournaments na lalahukan ng Pambansang koponan partikular na ang Olympic qualifying events.
Sa kasalukuyan, may 113 atleta at coaches ang nasa kani-kanilang mother units.
Nakipagpulong kahapon si PSC chairman Ricardo Garcia kina Assistant Chief, SPS, AFP, LTC Luciano M. Calman Jr. (FA), Chief Admin, SPS, AFP LTC. Roy D. Mendoza Jr. (CAV) PA, AFP-PSC Liaison NCO TSG. Tomas R. Sevilla, PN (M), Chief Civilian Supervisor, SPS, AFP; Pinay S. Listana, at SSG. Roy Dela Cruz, PAF, Admin para maayos ang kasunduan.
“The PSC wants to have the Memorandum of Agreement signed before the end of the month, so as not to delay and hamper the athletes and coaches in their preparation and training while trying to qualify for the Rio Olympics,” ani Garcia.
Hangad ng PSC at AFP na magkaroon ng tamang proseso sa pagbibigay ng detailed service gayundin ng pamalagiang monitoring sa mga enlisted personnel sa panahon ng training, sa kompetisyon at matapos ang kompetisyon.
“They requested for proper procedure in issuing detailed service to the athletes as well as proper monitoring of the military athletes and coaches during training, in competition and after the tournament,” dagdag ni PSC executive director Guillermo Iroy Jr.
