MANILA, Philippines — Nagtalaga na ang liderato ng Kamara ng isang kongresista na mula sa lalawigan ng Sulu bilang Deputy Speaker.
Si Sulu Rep. Munir Arbison ang kauna-unahang Deputy Speaker mula sa Sulu na itinalaga ni House Speaker Gloria Arroyo.
Ang pagtatalaga kay Arbison ay bilang bahagi pa rin ng rigodon sa mga kongresista matapos maupo si Arroyo sa pwesto.
Ang nominasyon sa kongresista ay ginawa ni House Majority leader Rolando Andaya sa plenaryo.
“I am thankful to the leadership of the House led by our speaker GMA and my colleagues for the trust and confidence in me as manifest in my election as Deputy Speaker. We are thankful for this will ensure the continued representation of the Mindanaoan people in the House leadership and the advancement of the welfare especially those from ARMM,” sinabi ni Arbison, na dating vice chairman ng committee on Public Works and Highways.
Si Arbison na nasa ikalawang termino ang kauna-unahang Tausug na nailuklok bilang Deputy Speaker.
