MANILA, Philippines - Naglaan ang Social Security System (SSS) ng P7-bilyong Educational Assistance (Educ-Assist) loan para sa 59,600 student-beneficiaries ng mahigit sa 55,000 SSS members na sumailalim sa Educ-Assist loans.
Noong 2012, ang Educ-Assist program ay may P7-bilyon para pondohan ang borrowers loan para mapagtapos sa pag-aaral ang mga anak ng mga miyembro.
Ang mga miyembro ay babayaran ang utang sa loob ng 3 taon para sa voc-tech courses at 5 taon sa college degrees.
“We are nonetheless pleased that so many of our members took advantage of this loan program to better themselves, their siblings or their children through education. We are glad that we were able to send so many student-beneficiaries to college, vocational and technical courses,†dagdag ng SSS.
