SALT LAKE CITY -- Magbabalik si Hall of Famer Karl Malone sa Utah Jazz para tulungan ang dalawang batang big men ng koponan.
Sinabi ni Jazz CEO Greg Miller na makikipagtulungan si Malone kina Derrick Favors at Enes Kanter at sa iba pang players.
Sinabi pa ng koponan na wala pang eksaktong iskedyul kung kailan magsisimula si Malone.
Ayon kay Miller, ang trabaho ni Malone ay isang part-time para turuan sina Favors at Kanter.
Hangad ng Jazz na palakasin ang kanilang koponan sa likod nina Favors, Kanter at swingman Gordon Hayward.
Nabigo ang Utah na makapasok sa playoffs sa season.
“With his success as a power forward in the NBA and the length of his career, he’s obviously got a lot to teach,’’ sabi ni Miller kay Malone. “We’re fortunate that he’s now willing to make himself and his expertise available to us.’’
Nagtatala si Favors ng mga averages na 9 points at 7 rebounds sa kanyang ikatlong season, habang nagpoposte naman si Kanter ng 7 points at 4 rebounds per game sa kanyang pangalawang season.
Ang dalawa ay kapwa 21-anyos at parehong No. 3 picks sa kani-kanilang NBA drafts.
Isang two-time NBA MVP, naglaro si Malone ng18 seasons para sa Jazz.
Siya ay isang 14-time All-Star at ikalawa sa career scoring list ng NBA mula sa kanyang 36,928 points.
