Training camp ni Donaire gustong ilipat

MANILA, Philippines - Ang kabiguan ni Mexican trainer Ro­bert Garcia na subaybayan ang pag-eensayo ni Nonito ‘The Filipino Flash’ Donaire, Jr. ang sinasabing isa sa mga dahilan ng pagkatalo nito kay Guillermo Rigondeaux.

Sinabi ni Garcia sa panayam ng Bo­xingScene.com na matagal na ni­yang hinihiling kay Donaire at sa ma­nager nitong si Cameron Dunkin na lumipat ng trai­ning camp.

Sa kanyang paghahanda kay Ri­gondeax, nagsanay si Donaire sa San Car­lso, California, habang nakabase na­man si Garcia sa Oxnard.

“It will be so much different if No­ni­to trained here in Oxnard, but some figh­ters are different,” sabi ni Gar­cia kay Donaire. 

“It’s just something we might ne­ver be able to convince him to do and we might make a few decisions if that doesn’t happen,” dagdag pa ng Mexican trai­ner.

Naisuko ni Donaire ang kanyang bit­bit na WBO su­per bantamweight belt nang matalo kay Rigondeaux via unanimous decision sa Radio City Music Hall sa New York.

Asam ni Donaire (31-2-0, 20 KOs) ang isang rematch kay Rigondeaux (12-0-0, 8 KOs).

“We hate to lose, of course, but sometimes a lot of fighters need a loss to learn from their mistakes and learn from their training camps,” wika ni Garcia. “Sometimes it is beter for them. In this case with Do­naire, it’s going to make him stronger.”
