Wow, Salve A., may katuwiran naman pala si Pokwang kung bakit she made sure she looked best sa katatapos na presscon for her movie, Edsa Woolworth, which will mark the opening salvo of Star Cinema sa taong ito.
The film opens in theaters nationwide on January 14. May premiere ito sa January 13 sa Megamall.
Now to the question kung bakit Pokwang made sure na glamorosa siya sa presscon ng pelikula, where she plays the title role nga pala, it’s because first time nila muling magkikita ng American actor na si Lee O’Brian.
Well, inamin ni Pokwang na instant kaagad ang naging atraksiyon niya kay Lee, kahit sa unang araw pa lamang ng shooting nila for Edsa…
Lee after all, was not only tall and handsome.
That she didn’t object a bit, when Direk John Lazatin, who directs the movie, requested her for several kissing scenes with Lee sa ilang eksenana hindi itinanggi ni Pokwang lalo’t nga raw nang mapansin niyang appreciated ito ni Lee.
And how would Pokwang describe Lee’s kisses?
‘‘Tender and juicy,’’ ang nakangiting sagot ni Pokwang.
Direk John nga pala is head, at the same time, of the Filipino Channel (TFC) in the US.
Kaya sa akin napunta ang responsibility to take care of my sick American stepfather and two stepbrothers.”
Balik kay Pokwang. She was asked kung may seryoso nga silang relasyon ni Lee sa tunay na buhay. Based kasi sa ginagawa niyang paglalambing kay Lee in the presence of the entertainment press, parang sobra ang pagkakagusto niya sa Amerikano. And, in fairness, vice versa.
Edsa… is Pokwang’s second movie for the TFC.
Singer, composer, and record producer Jamie Rivera is keeping her fingers crossed na magustuhan ni Pope Francis ang awiting purposely ay nilikha niya for His Highness’ visit sa ating bansa.
Titled We Are All God’s Children, Jamie is tasked to sing her own composition, una sa Mall of Asia (MOA) Arena, when the Pope meets with several Filipino families on January 16.
On the 18th of the month, Jamie will sing the song again at the Pope’s visit at UST para naman makilala ang ilang Filipino youth.
According to Jamie, she herself offered to compose a song for the Pope, as well sing it during the visit. She approached Archbishop Soc Villegas, who was just too glad to consider her offer.
Archbishop Soc gave Jamie an idea of what the theme na kailangang nila.
Well, the rest is history.
Good luck and God bless, Jamie.
