Sunshine ayaw tumandang mag-isa

Sunshine Cruz, now reportedly officially estranged from husband of 13 years, actor-producer and director, Cesar Montano, revealed in Kris Aquino and Boy Abunda’s nearly midnight show, Aquino & Abunda Tonight, that, at 36, hindi raw niya ma-imagine ang sarili na tumanda nang mag-isa.

She will definitely marry again, she said.

Happily daw, her three kids with Cesar (na lahat puro babae) approved of it. This early, she beamed, ini-encourage na nga raw siya ng mga ito na makipag-date na.

But she doubts daw kung ang kanyang napaka-busy na schedule will allow her. Not ngayon daw na busy siya taping for the remake of the series, Pure Love, a Koreanovela na na-Tagalized sa local TV before. Co-starring with her sina Alex Gonzaga, Arjo Atayde, at Joseph Marco.

She feels lucky that since nakipaghiwalay siya kay Cesar at nag-decide magbalik sa showbiz, naging busy siya with projects. Nakasama siya sa Dugong Buhay, sinundan ito ng Galema, Anak ni Zuma, at ngayon nga, itong Pure Love.

“Tinutulungan ako ni Lord. And I thank Him,” seryosong wika ni Sunshine. If she has her way daw, type niya na ang bagong iibigin niya ay ‘di na taga-showbiz. But as she said, mukhang mahirap daw itong matupad, since ang circle na kinabibilangan niya at pawang mga taga-showbiz ang kanyang possible “prospects”.

“So far, may nagpaparamdam na ba?” Boy asked Sunshine.

“Wala pa,” ang maliksing sagot ni Sunshine. “Baka pagkatapos nitong interview ko with you and Kris, magkaroon na.”

Well, good luck, Sunshine.

Korina sinorpresa ang isang Pinay sa Japan

Finally, the much awaited feature on a famous Filipino-Japanese wrestler which ABS-CBN co-produced with Japan’s NHK, titled Happy Surprise, ay mapapanuod na ngayong Linggo, May 25, sa programang Rated K ni Korina Sanchez.

It is a feature on Masunoyama, the Filipino-Japanese wrestler, na pumayag maging subject ng isang supposed fake documentary, all in a desire to surprise his Filipino mom, Maria Christine, na pinalaki siya at ang kanyang mga kapatid all by herself, dahil hiwalay ito sa ama nilang Hapon.

Sa presscon of Happy Surprise, ipinakita sa media ang interbyu ni Korina kay Maria Christine, as they toured the famous spots in Japan. Pero, marami sa amin (the media) ang tumulo ang luha nang bigla na lang bumulaga sa harapan nina Maria Christine at Korina ang flash mob of sumo wrestlers, led of course, by Masunoyama.

This particular segment of Happy Surprise will also be shown in Japan, according to Linggit Tan, ABS-CBN Business Unit Head. According to Linggit, who’s newly married nga pala, the Network’s collabortion with NHK will enable ABS-CBN to expand and penetrate the Asian Market.

“NHK, as a public broadcaster,” patuloy pa ni Linggit “wants to showcase Japanese culture, and most especially, to show their appreciation for Filipinos.”

Pinay nurse mapapanuod din

ang pagsusumikap sa Japan

Previous to Maria Christine, Happy Surprise featured din a Filipina nurse, Ivy Beldad, who passed the licensure exam in Japan.

Ivy’s life story will soon be featured too, in the long ang still high rating drama anthology, Maalaala Mo Kaya, hosted by ABS-CBN President and CEO, Charo Santos-Concio.
