“They gave me the role of Cristina Alperos, the mother of Cesar Montano. The role was originally for Liza Lorena.

“When they told me that the director will be Laurice Guillen, aba, natuwa ako at tinanggap ko. I changed my plans kasi matagal ko nang hindi nakatrabaho si Laurice.

“Laurice directed me in my award-winning role in Tanging Yaman. That was 13 years ago. Before that, I’ve worked with Laurice in films such as Kapag Langit ang Humatol, American Adobo, Sana Dalawa Ang Puso Ko, Kung Mahawi Man ang Ulap, and in her directorial debut, Kasal?

“Kaya okay lang for me to be in this series. I’m doing this because mahal ko si Laurice. I like the way she works.

“It’s something I haven’t thought of before, and then, now I know I feel good about it. And Lauren is a very special girl.”
