May iniinda si Andi Eigenmann.
Last Sunday’s The Buzz, the showbiz talk program hosted by Boy Abunda, Charlene Gonzales, and Toni Gonzaga, every viewer was a witness to how profuse ang ginawang pag-iyak ni Andi dahil nga raw ‘‘wala na’’ sila ni Jake Ejercito.
Is it true kaya that the cause of the breakup was not the pakikialam na ginawa ng kanyang ina na si Jaclyn Jose, who announced on TV na against sa relasyon ng anak niya ang mga magulang ni Jake na sina former President Joseph “Erap” Estrada and Laarni Enriquez?
Which, we all know, caused a reaction from both President Erap and Laarni. They both denied na nakikialam sila sa kung sinumang babaeng gusto ng kanilang anak.
But Andi was heard saying naman na ‘‘another woman’’ has caused her separation from Jake.
Congratulations to former actress Veronica Jones for the way she brought out her daughter, Abby Asistio, who, at four years old was stricken with a disease called alopecia. The dictionary describes it as loss of hair leading to baldness.
In an interview in Boy Abunda’s talk program The Bottomline every Saturday on ABS-CBN, Abby revealed she was not aware of the seriousness of her ailment although ang alam niya ay nagsimula ito na wari mo’y mga pothole lang sa kanyang ulo na before knew it ay naging dahilan din para unti-unting malagas na ang karamihan ng kanyang buhok.
Yet, to no avail.
They would chant, ‘‘Hayan na si Kalbo.’’
Which is a small wonder since kapatid ni Veronica si Jaclyn Jose, mother ni Andi.
Since may dugo ngang artista, ’di kataka-takang piliin ni Abby na maging performer, despite of what she describes as her kakulangan.
She might just make a difference.
But in the interview Abby had with Boy, she revealed that, more than anything else, ang nagtulak sa kanya to come out in the open about herself ay ang ‘‘awareness’’ tungkol sa sakit na alopecia.
At bagama’t, ayon sa doctors who have handled her case, ay ’di gaanong maraming Pilipino ang afflicted ng sakit na ito, yet, those who may be suffering from it will be inspired with what she is doing. What she has done.
Ayon pa rin sa dalaga, she has made her effort to contact an international association, na may kinalaman sa alopecia, and they assured her they will be in touch.
Abby promises to share any new information she gets from the association to her fellow ‘‘patients.’’
Meanwhile, let’s all salute Abby, as well as her parents.
