MANILA, Philippines - Sinuportahan kahapon ni world welterweight champion Timothy Bradley, Jr. ang pagsusulong ng dalawang U.S. Senators para sa pagkakaroon ng isang espesyal na boxing commission.
Ito ay matapos ang kontrobersyal na split decision loss ni Manny Pacquiao kay Bradley noong Hunyo 10 sa MGM Grand sa Las Vegas, Nevada.
Sinabi ni Bradley, ang bagong World Boxing Organization (WBO) welterweight champion matapos itong agawin kay Pacquiao, na mapapalakas ng naturang special boxing commission ang professional boxing sa hinaharap.
Samantala, bagamat nagdadalawang isip si Bob Arum ng Top Rank Promotions na gawin ang rematch nina Pacquiao at Bradley, sinabi naman ng American fighter na dapat itong mangyari sa Nobyembre 10.
“I don’t think that’s the way it should go. I think the rematch should happen. I think the fight was really close; it could have gone either way,” sabi kahapon ni Bradley sa panayam ng Mydessert.com.
Sinabi ni Bradley na gusto niyang maitakda ang kanilang rematch ni Pacquiao para mapatunayan na siya ang totoong nanalo.
“I’m all for it. Nov. 10, let’s do it. November or December, if he wants to do the rematch, why not? All this (controversy) would be taken away. Let’s do the rematch and settle it once and for all,” wika ni Bradley.
Kinondena ng mga boxing fans, officials at experts ang ginawang pag-iskor nina judges Cynthia J. Ross, Duane Ford at Jerry Roth sa laban nina Pacquiao at Bradley.
