MANILA, Philippines - Magsasampa ang co-promoter ni Johnriel Casimero ng formal complaint sa International Boxing Federation (IBF) laban kay Luiz Lazarte ng Argentina kaugnay sa pangangagat na ginawa nito sa Filipino fighter sa kanilang laban noong Biyernes ng gabi sa Club Once Unidos sa Mar del Plata, Argentina.
Sinabi ni American-based promoter Sampson Lewkowicz na hindi na dapat payagan ng IBF ang 40-anyos na si Lazarte na lumaban dahil sa kanyang ginawa sa 21-anyos na si Casimero.
“It will be a letter to the IBF who, even though they’re not resposible for these actions and they have nothing to do with it, it’s not acceptable for our sport,” wika ni Lewkowicz kay Lazarte.
Nilusob ng mga Argentinian fans ang tubong Ormoc City na si Casimero ilang minuto matapos niyang pabagsakin sa tenth round si Lazarte.
“He should be banned...He bit...Casimero two times. As for me pressing charges, I think that would be difficult. I did not get a name. But he is clearly seen in the ring right next to me before I hit the deck. Also, Karma has a way of handling these things,” ani Lewkowicz.
Mismong ang Las Vegas-based promoter na si Sean Gibbons, kaibigan ni Lewkowicz, ay naging biktima rin ng panununtok at paghagis ng silya ng mga Argentinians.
“Casimero has several concussions, and it’s not from the fight. It’s from the savage attack that he received after the fight,” sabi ni Lekowicz, ang American-based co-promoter ni Casimero.
Tinalo ni Casimero si Lazarte, isang dating one-time IBF light flyweight title holder, para kunin ang bakanteng interim IBF light flyweight title.
Taglay ngayon ni Casimero ang 16-2-0 win-loss-draw ring record kasama ang 10 KOs kumpara sa 49-11-2 (18 KOs) ni Lazarte.
Samantala, isang motorcade at press conference ang inihanda ng SGG Promotions para sa pagdating ngayon ni Casimero.
