Bradley walang binatbat kay Floyd Jr.

MANILA, Philippines - Walang nakikita si Jeff Mayweather, ang uncle/trai­ner ni Floyd Mayweather, Jr., na espesyal kay American world light welterweight titlist Timothy Bradley, Jr. ukol sa kanilang pinaplantsang upakan ni Manny Pacquiao sa Hunyo 9.

Ayon kay Jeff Mayweather, isang matiyagang boksingero lamang ang 28-anyos na si Brad­ley at wala sa kalingkingan ng kanyang pa­mangkin na si Floyd, Jr.

“He’s just a guy that’s in condition,” ani Jeff May­weather kay Bradley. “There’s nothing special about Bradley at all. There’s nothing that stands out, other than the fact that he’s in shape. There’s nothing I would look at Bradley and say ‘He’s fast’. I wouldn’t look at Bradley and say ‘He’s a great defensive fighter’. I wouldn’t say nothing but that he’s just a hard worker.”

Si Bradley na lamang ang napili ni Pacquiao na labanan matapos maitak­da ang laban nina Mayweather at Miguel Cotto sa Mayo 5 at ang salpukan nina Juan Manuel Marquez at Lamont Peterson sa Hulyo.

Itataya ng Filipino world eight-division champion na si Pacquiao ang kanyang suot na World Bo­xing Organization (WBO) welterweight crown laban kay Bradley.

Inaasahang papayag ang kampo ni Bradley, ang kasalukuyang WBO light welterweight titlist, na harapin si Pacquiao.

Sinabi naman ni Jeff Mayweather na maa­aring mahirapan si Pacquiao kay Bradley, nauna nang tinawag ni five-time Trainer of the Year Freddie Roach na isang ‘dirty fighter’ na gumagamit ng siko at ulo para gulangan ang kanyang kalaban.

“I give Bradley a shot,” sabi ni Jeff Mayweather. “Bradley is a very, very so­lid fighter. He comes to fight and he gives you everything that he’s got.”

“I just think that he’s probably going to come up short but he’s going to make Pacquiao look bad in doing so, once again. The only thing bad about that is the possibility of the fight with him and Floyd losing its luster,” dagdag pa ni Jeff Mayweather kay Bradley.

Tangan ng 33-anyos na si Pacquiao ang 53-3-2 win-loss-draw ring record kasama ang 38 KOs kumpara sa 28-0-0 (12 KOs) slate ni Bradley, nakita sa undercard ng Pacquiao-Marquez III noong Nobyembre 12 kung saan niya pinabagsak si Joel Casamayor ng Cuba sa round eight.
