Ito ang nakikita ni Eric Gomez, ang Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at matchmaker ng Golden Boy Promotions ng 35-anyos na si Dela Hoya, hinggil sa kabi-kabila ang paghahamon sa 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games gold medalist.
At kabilang na sa mga ito, ayon kay Gomez, ay sina Filipino world four-division titlist Manny Pacquiao at Mexican Antonio Margarito, ang bagong World Boxing Association (WBA) welter-weight king.
“Obviously, we know that Margarito is calling him out,” ani Gomez kay Margarito, nasa Top Rank Promotions rin ni Bob Arum kagaya ni Pacquiao. “But it’s funny because everybody calls Oscar out. Oscar should get an award for everybody who has called Oscar out after he wins. ... I think Margarito is just like any other fighter - they need Oscar more than Oscar needs them.”
