"I’m better prepared now than in Sydney four years ago," wika ni Geisler. "And my confidence level is quite high."

"The field is tough, but I believe I can go all the way to the medal round," aniya. "I didn’t like the way I lost then (sa Sydney). I finished in a tie with my Swedish rival and I thought I delivered the more solid blows. But the referee declared him winner by superiority."

Pareho namang first timers sa Olympics sina Mary Antoinette Rivero at Tsomlee Go ngunit sapat na ang kanilang malawak na karanasan sa taekwondo at ang kanilang determinasyon.
Nangako ang dalawa na ibibigay nila ang lahat ng kanilang makakaya upang makapagbigay ng karangalan sa bansa.
Sa edad na 16 bilang third year high school ng home study program ng Angelicum School, pakiramdam ni Rivero ay maganda ang kanyang kondisyon, physically at mentally.
"I know it’s going to be tough winning hear but I’m determined," wika ng 5-foot-8 teener na kapatid ng mga taekwondo jins ring sina Manuel Jr. at Mark. "But I’m not too worried because I have already seen and fought against some of these athletes in my class (-57-to-67 kg.)."
Ang pinakamalaking karangalan ni Rivero ay ang kanyang gold medal finish sa Vietnam SEA Games noong December. Naka-silver din ito sa Asian Junior Championships sa Korea.
