Itoy inihayag ni Santi Araneta, chairman ng Multi-Regional Basketball Inc., makaraang tanggapin ni Loyzaga ang posisyon.
"The MBA board welcomes a good leader like Chito. We believe hell be able to steer the league to greater heights," ani Araneta, may-ari ng 2001 national titlist Batangas Blades.
Sinabi naman ni Loyzaga na " Ive always believed in the regional concept. I am excited to be part of the sport that is close to my heart. I will take this position to contribute to the development of basketball in the country."
Ang 43 anyos na si Loyzaga ay naglaro ng 12 season sa Toyota, Tanduay, Great Taste at Ginebra sa PBA kung saan ipinoste niya ang kanyang career na may average na 9.3 points at 4.4 rebounds. Naging 7th time member din siya ng all-defensive team at naabot ang 5,000 points at 500 assists career achievement.
Si Chito ang panganay na anak ni Caloy The Big Difference" Loyzaga, na isa sa napiling Greatest Filipino Basketball Player of all-time sa pagbubukas ng liga sa Lingayen, Pangasinan noong 1998.
